Some challenges teenagers increasingly face include anxiety, low self-esteem, withdrawal from others, body image, mood swings, bullying at school, depression, and ADHD. The teen years pose some of the most difficult challenges for individuals and families. Adolescence is a time of developmental transition which includes not only physical changes but also identity, personality, and social changes. Furthermore, many mental health challenges begin to manifest in adolescence.
We can provide a strong skill set to help your teenager with these types of challenges. Meeting them in a non-judegemental, confidential, and safe space will help your child build trust and openly share their concerns. In our work together, we can help your teen understand themselves and the changes they are going through, while increasing coping skills and reducing stress.
Sessions are 50 minutes and occur weekly until we observe progress towards goals and decide to decrease the frequency of sessions.
