Digging Deeper to Create Lasting Change

You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Change happens over time, as we dig beneath the surface together to understand what’s really going on, not just manage what’s on top.

After spending about ten years working with youth and families in different settings, I saw how much of a difference the right support can make, and it’s what led me to become a therapist. I wanted to feel fully equipped with the education and skills to help the people in my care, no matter what setting I was in.

My approach is client-centered, holistic, and collaborative. I’ve been told I have a knack for seeing the whole picture rather than getting caught up in the smaller details, always looking for what will actually help create change that lasts.

About Hannah Blackmore, APCC

My approach to therapy is client-centered, holistic, and collaborative. I believe lasting change happens over time, as we dig deeper together to understand the root of what’s really going on, not just manage what’s happening on the surface.

I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-esteem, and the impact of family of origin or relationship patterns. Depending on what you’re working through, I draw from Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Adlerian psychotherapy, choosing what actually fits you rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

I’ve been told I have a unique ability to see the whole picture. I don’t get caught up in the smaller details, I’m always looking for what will actually help create change that lasts.

My Approach as a Teen Counselor in Seal Beach

Depending on what you’re navigating, I draw from Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Adlerian psychotherapy to build an approach that actually fits you, not a one-size-fits-all model.

My goal is always the same: to help you feel steadier, more confident, and equipped with tools that carry into everyday life.

Your First Steps

What You Can Expect When We Work Together

A Thoughtful Start

Reaching out can feel like the hardest step, but you don't have to navigate it alone. You'll first connect with our Client Care Coordinator, who will answer your questions, learn more about what you're looking for, and help determine whether I'm the right fit. They'll then help you schedule your first appointment or a consultation call if you'd like to connect first.

A Personalized Approach

Our first sessions are about understanding you, not rushing to solutions. We'll explore what's been feeling difficult, what you hope will feel different, and begin creating a plan tailored to your goals, strengths, and unique experiences. There is no one size fits all approach.

Therapy That Evolves With You

As therapy progresses, we'll continue adapting our work to meet your needs. Some sessions may focus on practical skills, while others involve deeper work through approaches like CBT, DBT, or play therapy, depending on what fits best. I also regularly check in to make sure therapy feels helpful, meaningful, and aligned with your goals.
